Boat Visit of Belin, HUGE Iquitos Lili Pads...

A floating PARTY/FIESTA
 I wonder what happened to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th???

The floating houses, churches, toilets, showers, vendors, markets utilize balsa wood for floatation.  Wood lasts for 4 years before need of being replaced.

MotoKar Shop.  Huge Lily Pads out back.
The Victoria amazonica (the biggest lily-pad in the world).

And no, the pad cannot float with a baby...

This natural garden was just beautiful.  Hard to believe the floating poor city of Belen was only some feet away.

And back for a short trip to the portage of Belen.

There always seems to be buzzards waiting for something to die.... ???

Sometimes a group of the  buzzards would just fly, similar flight habits as the Turkey Buzzards that fly behind my house in the Mouth of the Grand Coulee.
Extra HIGH water flood last year.  Highest in 45 years. Note the water mark.  A lot of people had to move out for the flood, and for the fire last winter.
 Whoops.
Buzzards... for some reason one kept looking at me.  Creepy!

NEXT STOP ... TO THE ZOO.
