More Market, Iquitos, Peru

The Lodge served this, I believe Shavings from the Palm. It was served with shredded beet, shredded carrot. Very good.

Alligator meat. White with a little red.

I was told you could buy monkey meat here. But since the monkey are now protected by law, the meat is hid from view.

Off to the Market. Huge, Busy, Fast. Jeno was good at convincing us to try a Taste of Peru.

Interesting fruit. Not much to it. Nice red skin. Huge seed inside. A layer of bright yellow fruit. A little sour. A little sweet. The nuts in the dish to the left were fantastic.

More Downtown Iquitos. The Amazon River Picked #1 of the Seven Wonders Nature. That day was and is a proud day for Peru.
